About Us

Michael and I met in Seattle in 2005. We were both struggling with addiction. At that point in my life I felt powerless, ashamed.  I had given in to the screaming voice in my head that said you would never be free, and I had decided to let it kill me.  And then one day Michael showed up on my doorstep.  Literally.  And my life got better.  Not so simple to quit addiction, however, but easier together and with help from Harborview Medical Center.  Another year would pass plus two weeks homeless on the streets before a true change would come.  “Want to move to Leavenworth?” Michael asked. Absolutely. Over the mountains we went to this beautiful little Bavarian-styled Village called, Leavenworth, WA. You really should visit.
It’s a place full of wonderful people who opened their arms to us.
July 2, 2007 – first day of sobriety. We never looked back.  Thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way.  Today truly is a gift.  We do the things we love…design, art, garage sales, theater, music…with an appreciation that only comes from having survived something that could have easily killed us.
Thanks for reading.
